Action from the Lancashire Combination Division One match played at Victory Park on the 25th April 1964.

Chorley required just one point from this fixture to clinch the League title for the third time in five years. The Magpies won the match 4-3 but at half time they were trailing 2-1.

Chorley opened the scoring after 11 minutes with a goal from Dalton, but three minutes later Bacup were back on level terms with a goal from Knight. Irving added the second Bacup goal after 25 minutes.

Chorley drew level after 55 minutes with a goal from Hobson, and 7 minutes later they went ahead, Hobson once again the scorer. With 11 minutes remaining Hobson completed his hat-trick to give Chorley a 4-2 lead.

Gill pulled a goal back for the visitors after 82 minutes.
