Lancashire Combination Division One 1964 - 65
Burscough (A)

Action from the Lancashire Combination Division One match played at Victoria Park on the 29th August 1964.

In a match that Chorley should have won more convincingly two gift goals in the first 7 minutes provided Chorley with a 2-1 win and the points in their first away fixture of the new season.

Dalton intercepted a back pass to open the scoring after 5 minutes and 2 minutes later Burscough defender Rees scored an own goal.

Rees made amends for his earlier mistake when he scored from the penalty spot after 20 minutes.

Burscough had two goals disallowed, the second for a disputed offside decision near the end of the game.
