Chorley completed a League double over Clitheroe with a 3-1 victory. However the home side did make a simple task look difficult against their struggling visitors.

Dalton gave Chorley the lead after 13 minutes, and after Rowley was fouled by Wallace, Wroth added the second goal from the penalty spot on the half hour.

Dalton completed the scoring with his second goal after 62 minutes. Wroth missed the opportunity to score Chorley's fourth goal of the game and their 100th of the season when his 88th minute penalty struck the post and was scrambled away.
