Action from the Lancashire Junior Cup Final played at Ewood Park Blackburn, on the 20th April 1964.
Chorley won the coveted trophy for a record breaking ninth time when they beat Nelson 3-1 in a thrilling match.
Straight from the start Nelson attacked and inside the first seven minutes they had 3 corners, but it was Chorley who opened the scoring after 11 minutes courtesy of a Rowley header. Four minutes later Dalton extended the lead.
After 20 minutes Kirk pulled a goal back for Nelson, and they could have been level at the interval, but the Magpies defence stood as firm as a rock.
Smith scored the only goal of the second half after 73 minutes to secure the Magpies victory.
