
Action from the F.A. Cup 2nd Qualifying Round match played at Victory Park on the 21st September 1963.
Chorley overwhelmed Nelson 6-1 and in doing so progressed beyond the 2nd Qualifying Round for the first time in 4 years. Chorley led 4-0 at the interval with a Watson hat-trick (pen 30; pen 35; 43) and a goal from Shaw after 32 minutes.
In the second half Wroth added the fifth goal on 65 minutes, 2 minutes later Currie scored for the visitors, before Shaw claimed his second with 14 minutes remaining.
